15 – 16 – 17 July, 2011

Continuing where the last plot ended at 11:02AM I collected data showing another complete rise and fall in the background radiation level. This occured between about 9PM on the 16th and 9Am on the 17th. You can see that the background reading is normal (around 14.5) for most of the day on the 16th until about 9PM when it starts to rise again.
If we put all the data together there is a pattern of overnight peaking radiation readings with a return to near normal levels in between. Compare this with the graphs below from April 2011 for overnight readings collected with the same equipment in the same place. I have never seen peaks anything like these before. Could something be causing this locally?
